Arrival in New Zealand

After weighing our suitcases a million times and making sure they were at the limit, but not over the limit, we went to the Sydney airport and left for Auckland, NZ last Wednesday evening. It took a few extra minutes for them to check our "imports from PNG" and they allowed us to store our extra duffle bag there for 3 weeks at the airport for only $20. We thought that was a deal!! This Saturday our missionary couple replacements were supposed to arrive, but because of visa problems are delayed. So we took advantage of the situation and left Saturday morning to drive north to Bay of the Islands. It was a great weekend. We went to church on the east coast and then drove for a couple of hours and made it to the west coast. Here is Paul at the Bay of Islands!

Home, Sweet Home

Our lounge (Aussie for living room) in our flat (apartment) and Paul is busy doing the vacuuming. It is a small 2 bedroom flat with the kitchen being the size of a small hallway. It is smaller than any apartment that we have EVER lived in, even when we were first married and lived in a one-bedroomer. But hey, it keeps us from collecting too much junk!!

At work

This was our office for the first year of our mission. We have moved twice since then. I am back in this office and Paul has a big room all to himself.

Adelaide, here we come!

Yes, that's right! Paul has been to Adelaide twice at the beginning of our mission, but I wasn't allowed to go. Yesterday, our boss gave us permission to go to a wheelchair symposium in Adelaide next week. YEAH!!! I did have to cancel doing a sewing presentation for mutual at our boss' ward. But the YW pres who works at the office, said "No worries, you just go with Elder B and have a great time." So we will stay 2 extra days and do one day of sight-seeing and then go to church there.

Time to make arrangements for our return

Okay all you buggers, I mean bloggers, out there. I am going to give it a try and add a picture. Here is our transportation home from our mission. If the weather cooperates we should arrive in time for Thanksgiving.
